Title: Flea Treatment: Comfortis
Tags: Comfortis flea treatment topical
Blog Entry: Has anyone heard of [link="http://www.comfortis4dogs.com/"]Comfortis[/link]? Confortis is first FDA approved, chewable, beef flavored tablet that kills fleas within 30mins of ingestion and prevents flea infestation for up to full month. I've read some reviews and found it to be so-so. I do love the fact that it is given orally, but that's about all that I like about it. Like most topical flea treatments, it kills fleas within an hour and the treatment lasts full month. But, unlike some of the known flea treatments like Frontline Plus and K9 Advantix, it does not prevent your dog from ticks and mosquitoes, or from the flea eggs. From what I read, it only kills off adult fleas and prevents flea infestation. You can, however use tick collars or use these other brands along with Comfortis to prevent ticks. But, if your only concern is with the fleas, this product might work for you. The reason I'm talking about this product is that I hate the use of topical treatments. I know I'm not the only one out there that hates how you apply, whether it be Frontline, advantage or whatever type of topical products, you get the stuff, what seems to be mostly on the fur of your dog rather than on a skin itself. I'd like to know if anyone has heard of this product, have used it before, and what your opinions are on this product. Shawn
