We lost the wee one we were bottle feeding. His eyes opened on Friday and he was gaining strength, but I guess it was too much for his little body and it gave out on Saturday morning; however, we stiil have 9 fat and healthy little piglets. I had them out on the living room carpet and they weren't sure they liked it. Probably about another week and 1/2 and they'll be running all over. Hope everyone had an excellent holiday! Minnie and Wee gave birth the day after Thanksgiving. Minnie had 3-2 girls and 1 boy, Wee had 8-6 girls and 1 boy. Sadly, the smallest of Wee's died yesterday after much efforet on our part to give her a strong start. Even feeding goat milk by bottle didn't help in the end. She was jsut too weak and her little body gave out while my hubby was holding her. Her siblings are doing great, growing bigger by the day. It made us very sad to lose her, but she wasn... Read More

I was off about a month or so for when the girls would be in heat- oh well. Minnie was whining at Clyde this am as I was getting ready for work. I mentioned this to my hubby and he said she had done it off and on all morning,  but Clyde was ignoring her. Now this odd behavior makes me wonder if she did tear something when she had her last litter. If her "pheremonal odor" is off, he won't touch her. Minnie and Wee are both in heat....we are going to try and prevent Minnie from breeding this time around. As it has been a year since Wee had puppies, it's her turn. She is such a good mama and loves having her babies. Last time she was in heat ,we weren't letting Clyde near her, but at the last part, he got her one time.
