So I took my girls for vaccines today and got all the way home when I looked over at Bella who's face and feet had swelled up on the car ride home. I took her back and she was given shots, stayed for a couple of hours to be watched, and sent home with medicine. Like my Bella hasn't given me enough scares lately?! Bella had surgery on Monday, July 6th. It went well, but she didn't have the shunt that they were looking for. They took a biopsy of her liver and the results came back yesterday. She has Hypatic Micro Vascular Dysplasia (I would explain but looking it up on Google would be much easier!). The vet said she should be fine! She doesn't require any medication, we just have to keep her on a special food. We are very happy to hear that she will be okay. I'm not sure what the future holds for Bella but... Read More

We finally took Bella for her second liver test and of course there was no change. We have scheduled a consult with the surgeon on Monday and her surgery will either be that day or on Tuesday. Luckily, I ran into a friend on Facebook that works for a vet and she told me that surgery was the best option and calmed my nerves a little. Bella has been throwing up at least once a week for a while now. We finally took her to the vet because it wasn't going away. Our vet ran some tests and found that she has liver disease. We were then referred to a specialist for an ultrasound. We went there today. The specialist said he was looking for a stunt, which he didn't find, but he found all indications that the problem was there.      YOU ALL KNOW WHAT IS GOING ON WITH BB. WELL THIS MORNING I WOKE UP WITH A WET SPOT ON THE BED. I THOGHT LUKE PROBABLY JUST MARKEDTHE BED LIKE ALWAYS, UNTIL I HEARD DAPHNE THROWING UP.
