hello I'm new to this side. I have a 2 year old 9 pound Chihuahua girl who mated with my 2 year old long haired Chihuahua which is 4.5 pounds. This is her first and last litter.

I read a lot about whelping and birth and talked to different vets etc. I have the emrgency number right next to her whelping box, but the vet said everything looks fine.

The dog is my 12 year old sons dog and if something happened to her I will never hear the end of the story. She is only a few days out to have ther babys.

As "Babygirl" was in heat we put her in a cage during the time we where not there but my boy "Mojo" got her anyway through the cage.

 

Well, its all not an excuse to not have her fixed in the first place, but money at that time was an issue and then she got in heat.

 

I will read through the forum to find more info also

I REMEMBER HOW NERVES I WAS WITH MY DAPHNES FIRST LITER, I STILL GET NERVES WHEN MY CHIS GET CLOSE TO THEIR DUE DATES BUT NOE I'M MORE CONFIDENT ABOUT KNOWING WHAT TO DO. I WISH YOU GOOD LUCK .

Hallo Everybody. sorry it took a long time to send a message to you all. but I have been very busy. Babygirl had 6 puppies all well. They found all a home allready. we had 4 boys and 2 girls. the birth was picture book like and she was a very good mom. Now she is fixed and also the boys are fixed so no more pups. We also have a new edition Chihuahua another rescue from a druggirl who throw the dog out of the window after punching it. she got 30 days in jail and a year probation. the dog is doing fine now and is integrated in his new home. My son takes care of him and his Babygirl. 6 Chihuahuas and one Collie is what we have now in the family. when i figure out to get pictures on the computer I will send you all some. Thank you
