My Chi is in her 6th week of pregnancy and is very tired. All she wants to do is lay arougn with us all day. She even stands at my feet wHen I am cooking. Just waiting for me to sit down. Is this normal? I expected she would be less active but she doesn't even want to go outside to potty. If it is normal I will stop worrying it just seems excessive. |

my girls always sleep more when they are expecting, all pregnencys are different so some sleep and just lay around and some are a little more active, although I would try to get her moveing around a little more because just like in humans she needs exercise which will also help her when it comes time to have the babies. I really wouldnt worry to much I'm sure she knows what she needs to do.

I think Chihuahuamommy is right. We just had a litter yesterday by c-section. My Dori was jumping the night she went into labor, not much but all the same she was jumping. I always try to keep them from jumping on to or off of furniture in their last couple weeks. If your little one is about 6 weeks (42days) I'd say to lift her up and down from furniture, but let her take the steps on her own.
