I have seen her hunt down grasshoppers and eat them. It is so funny she hops after them, pounces on them, kills them and eat them. My husband trains bird dogs in the fields all year round, when it is war enough Lucy has started going with us, while the big dogs practice hunting birds she hunts grasshoppers. If she catches a really big one she will bring it to me first like to say look what I caught and then she its it.

My chi is "overweight" according to the vet :(  She's really active, goes to the dog park, walks almost everyday.  But I switched to a dog food that doesn't have a lot of fillers.  That's usually a good thing, but I kept feeding her the same amount as I did before with her less rich dog food...and she turned into a chunky monkey!  So, now we are moving from Hawaii to Canada.  She can't go outside there, WAY too cold!  So, I've got her on the treadmill.  She loves it!!  I also tried to give her carrots to help fill her up since her kibble has been reduced, but poor thing got sick.  Up all night with a growling tummy.  Maybe I will see if she can tolerate the green beans!

You must supply him with supplements for weight gain. I think you should feed him high protein dog food to aid in muscle growth of the dog.
