Last year I had bought a male Chi pup.  Sadly, a few days later, the pup was sick and wound up passing away at the vet.  I had fallen in love with him but he had a congenital liver shunt.  I had to sue the store for my money back (whole other story!).  Anyhow, his papers showed his grandparent was named Candy Bar.  So I had named him Snickers.  A year and a half after losing Snickers I decided I was ready to try again.  I adopted a little guy who is brown and white.  Keeping with the candy theme in honor of my previous pup, I named him Reese's.   I call him Peanut! :-)

My Chihuahua's name is Haru and my family and I adopted him a few months ago. He was originally Baby but we all thought that before we picked him up we should come up with something for him. The name actually came from my Japanese foreign-exchange sister. It means spring (the season) and we all thought that Haru sounded like a nice powerful name for a little guy. Other choices were Lakota (my dad's choice) and Papi (my mom's choice). Although his new name is Haru, it's impossible for me to not call him my little baby :).

Our chihuahua's name is Taishan. Taishan is the name of the baby giant panda in Washington zoo who was born the year our little chi was born too. Because of taishan's coloring(black and white), we thought initially of naming her oreo, then panda, then decided on the cute panda's name. Taishan is supposedly a boy's name, but somehow, it fit our little female chihuahua perfectly!

Rowdy got his name the very day he came home.  At 8 weeks he was everywhere!  He loved to wrestle and chase with the kids.  Miss Piper Ann had her name before we ever picked her up from the breeder.    When I saw her picture I knew it was the right name.  Then watching her grow, I had something to call her.  She knew who she was by the time she came home!  Of course, then my husband pointed out that I may have named my dogs after a wrestler.  Rowdy Roddy Piper.  lol

My Chi's name is Puddles....found her with a homeless guy, she was cold, hungry and terrified. I traded her for cigarrettes (that's what he wanted) I thought about calling her 3-pack, but desided on Puddles because thats what she left me all over the carpet.  I've had her 8 years, and she's happy, warm and her belly is always full!

Before I picked up my Chi I had loads of names written down, but as soon as I saw her, I thought she looked like a princess ( a dog princess), so I chose Bella. When we got our male, we had all sort of tough names picked out, but he reminded me of Barney from the flintones, short, a bit tubby, and very cuddley, so we could him Barney, (He was the fatter one in the litter). Bella and Barney go well together, B1 and B2.

naming our little chi's has bin so hard to find a name that suited them,

when i got my first little girl she was a millie but i have 3 friends with dogs called millie, and i did'nt like the lady that had her much, (she had homed her 3 times in 6mths to her family members, and other dogs had picked on her) so she had gone back where she started, it was like a puppy farm...so i changed it, she looked like a tiny little fox so nearly called her foxy but didnt think that was pretty enough so i used to love the film bugsy malone and bugsy's foxy chic was Talullah so i named my little girl "Talullah" then as my little girl was frightened of her own shadow we decided to get another chi to help her, and we found a lovely little boy and as it was love at first sight he had to be Maloney...

but now Talullah and Maloney have a son what do we call him..... (never happened in the film lol)

not 100% at the min but thinking of tico or mackenzie but might change our mind once he opens his eyes n gets a little character of his own...
