Minnie is using her leg-thank the stars! My hubby said he reached out to find her on the bed and felt her standing on all fours, but as soon as he touched her, she pulled that leg up. Yesterday, when I got home, she would take about 8 steps and then pull it up; That was very encouraging.The leg seems to be healing, but I'm sure it will be a while before she's back to 100 percent. Minnie was run over by one of our big dogs. We picked her up and examined her and she seemed ok-nothing broken. A couple of hours later she was standing up and holding a hind leg up. The muscle swelled-we think it's sprained. I've been giving her baby aspirin and we have been carrying her up and down the stairs. Wee One is coming into heat-at least Clyde thinks so. He's doing his cute thing to her and dancing attendance everywhere she goes. There's already been some scuffling, but that willllbate when she's in fu;;-blown heat. We skipped her last heat so her little body could recover, so we told her she could do the tango this time! I keep telling her 4 or5 puppies-not 9. My hubby said what she probably hears is " blah blah blah 9 blah." Which is why I started saying 4 or 5.......I wonder if she'll list... Read More

Saturday, May 14, my pet dog Smoky Bear died. She was almost 19 years old. My hubby got her for me way back when we had started our life together. She went everywhere with us and now she lies with Cowboy out in the yard. I can see her from the kitchen window whenever I am there. We miss her horribly, but she is no longer throwing up every time she eats or drinks. I hold my puppies to get some comfort but I feel the hole in my life that was created when she left. Hi all! It's been a while since I blogged...so much happening here. Minnie Wee had her 2nd litter of puppies on 4/7/11.  2 boys and 2 girls-1 fawn boy and 1 black and white boy; 1 solid white girl and 1 brindle . Wrinkles got upset when the mating was going on and then again when the birthing was happening.
